Boreanez Puts the Smackdown on the WB
At the WB Network's Fall Schedule Presentation, David Boreanez stepped onto the stage with a confused look and said "This isn't the UPN." WB co-president was caught off-guard, but he tried to play down the departure of Buffy by saying that although its teen core audience was declining, Buffy the Vampire Slayer will be a show "close to our hearts." Buffy the Vampire Slayer is leaving the WB. The Frog backed out of negotiations to keep one of its best hits, citing it could not afford the price. Not to worry, though. You'll find it on UPN this fall. UPN chalked up a two-season package worth a whopping \\$2.33 million per episode. What's more is that Angel, Buffy's spinoff, may follow suit!
